BizEats ("we," "us," or "our") values the privacy of our Delivery Partners. This Privacy Policy specifically applies to the BizEats Rider App and explains how we collect, use, and share information collected from our riders/drivers to facilitate delivery services.

1. Information We Collect

To operate the BizEats Rider platform effectively, we collect the following types of information:

A. Personal & Account Information

When you register as a rider, we collect:

  • Identity Data: Full name, date of birth, and government-issued ID (e.g., Driver’s License) for identity verification.
  • Contact Data: Phone number, email address, and home address.
  • Financial Data: Bank account or GCash details for payout processing.

B. Vehicle Information

  • Vehicle type, make, model, year, plate number, and relevant registration documents to ensure safety standards compliance.

C. Location Data (Important)

Background Location Disclosure: The BizEats Rider App collects your location data to enable order dispatching, navigation, and delivery tracking.

We collect this data when the app is running in the foreground (app is open) and in the background (app is minimized) as long as you are toggled "Online" or have an active delivery. This allows us to assign you nearby orders and lets customers track their food in real-time.

D. Device & App Usage Data

  • Device model, OS version, and battery status (to prevent dispatching orders to devices about to power off).
  • App interaction data, such as acceptance rates and delivery completion times.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

  • Order Dispatching: Using your real-time location to offer you delivery requests from nearby restaurants.
  • Navigation & Tracking: Helping you navigate to merchants and customers, and allowing them to track the delivery progress.
  • Safety & Verification: Verifying your identity and vehicle to ensure the safety of our ecosystem.
  • Earnings & Payouts: Calculating delivery fees and processing payments to your registered financial account.

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We only share your information as necessary to fulfill the delivery service:

  • With Customers: Once you accept an order, the customer can see your First Name, Vehicle details, and real-time Location to coordinate the delivery.
  • With Restaurants: Restaurants can see your Name and approximate location when you are en route to pick up an order.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of BizEats, our users, or the public.

4. App Permissions

The BizEats Rider App requests the following permissions to function:

  • Location: Required for receiving orders and navigation.
  • Phone: Required to call the customer or restaurant directly from the app.

5. Data Security

We implement strict security measures to protect your personal data. Access to your personal and financial information is restricted to authorized BizEats personnel only.

6. Account Deletion

If you wish to terminate your partnership with BizEats and delete your data, please contact our support team. Please note that we may retain certain transactional data (e.g., earnings history) as required by tax and accounting laws.
